Jacana FAQ - Selection Criteria
By default Jacana will use a question mark as the compare value, meaning that at run-time the user will be prompted to supply a value. You can supply a default value by inserting it before the question mark. The user can change this default value at run-time. If you remove the question mark the user will not be able to change the default value.
