Marketing
agreement adds report writing
capabilities to Midrange Software's widely used
iSeries human resource application, PERMS.

--- Midrange Software, Van Nuys, California announces a strategic marketing and distribution arrangement with
Momentum Utilities Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia. Under this agreement Midrange Software will
complement its own widely used Human Resource application, PERMS (Personnel Evaluation and
Resource Management System), with Momentum’s leading client/server reporting
system. The Momentum report writer will be marketed as R2/D2 (Rapid Report Writing
Development and Deployment) and is designed specifically to operate with the PERMS
database.

reporting facilities to extend their use of the comprehensive data held in PERMS. The
availability of R2/D2 created in partnership with Momentum Utilities addresses these

with an
intuitive, user-friendly Windows environment, R2/D2 enables users to create reports
quickly and easily, without requiring any technical knowledge of the PERMS database

| Momentum’s client-server report writer
strengths lie in its ability to access the DB/400 relational database and tackle data
manipulation and output requirements ranging from the very simple to the highly
sophisticated. Commenting on the relationship with Midrange Software Keith Dickins,
