Vanguard’s GPS is a pre-packaged business intelligence / data warehousing solution for Enterprise Resource Planning Systems. GPS includes data extracts, a data warehouse engine, On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP), graphing and reporting capabilities. GPS transforms and presents the data held within leading iSeries ERP systems, such as MAPICS/XA, JD Edwards, BPCS and PRISM, for in-depth and flexible decision-making analysis on-line and via the web.

Momentum’s Jacana-Valet-OPEN/DB is an iSeries-centric client-server reporting system enabling users to augment their standard reporting with additional custom reporting and data extracts. One of the major features of the Momentum solution is its Information Interface that enables the file relationships of an application to be described to the report writer.

With this feature the user is presented with easily recognizable fields and is not required to know the field and file relationships of the underlying database.

As part of the ‘value add’ of this marketing relationship Vanguard and Momentum have developed an Information Interface for the GPS data warehouse. Vanguard will offer the Information Interface for GPS at no charge.
