Report Writer Facilitates Better Decision Making, Provides Fast Access to Critical
Information.

support its iSeries customer base, Marcam Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCM) today announced
the availability of Info Workplace, an advanced report writer for Marcam’s process
ERP and EAM solutions. This reporting solution simplifies the task of report production
and provides fast access to critical information, facilitating better decision-making and
ultimately improving productivity.
Custom report development and ad-hoc report
requirements can be expensive and time-consuming. Info Workplace enhances efficiency for
the IS staff by significantly reducing report development backlog and the need to re-enter
data. In addition, Info Workplace simplifies database access, enabling senior executives
and other business users to construct advanced reports without IS expertise. Developed in
association with Momentum Utilities Pty Limited, Info Workplace combines the strengths of
both iSeries and PC technology to quickly and cost-effectively generate information in
either report format or a PC-formatted file.

- Info Workplace Engine – The Info Workplace Engine manages
data access, security, performance and resource management on the iSeries. The Engine
manages knowledge from the database while addressing IS security and efficiency concerns.
- PRISM Data Subsets – The Data Subsets enable the file
relationships of the PRISM database to be described to the report writer. With this
feature the user is presented with easily recognizable fields and is not required to know
the field and file relationships of the underlying database.
- User Views – Based on business views of the software,
User Views are designed to allow the user to by-pass volumes of technical information in
order to create reports quickly and easily.
- Jacana – Jacana provides intuitive Windows-based on- and
off-line report definition.
